I always tell people there are no Dolphin to be had in December, it is just the wrong time of year. Well the fish definitely have there own ways and sure enough we have been catching nice size Mahi at years end.
I’m not complaining I like being wrong about these fish.
As Fantasy Fest begins in Key West the fishing offshore has yielded some fantasy fishing. The reef fishing has been strong with limit catches of snapper and grouper. In the blue a few mahi and this nice sailfish.
September gets a bad rap as a slow fishing month. The only thing slow in September is the number of people coming down to fish. There are a lot of reasons why it is slow this time of year , but the deep sea fishing is not one of them .Check out some of our catch from our charter yesterday:
Starting off with Blackfin tuna before all the rigs are in the water
Mahi were lurking and in grass in the Gulfstream.
Not bad for ten years old, that grin lasted all day.
